Our Story

2018

After graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture from Louisiana State University, our path into the profession began in commercial architecture — working across healthcare, retail, corporate, and industrial project types with an established firm. Eight years of practice across the United States built a foundation in design, documentation, and project delivery that few architects develop so broadly and independently.

2021

HAM Design and CM Group was established to pursue residential and small commercial design work independently — a space to apply architectural expertise with direct accountability to clients and the spaces being created. Running an independent practice quickly reinforced what years in commercial architecture had already suggested: that understanding design alone wasn't enough.

2024

That recognition led to formal studies in Construction Management at Louisiana State University and the pursuit — and, as of 2024, achievement — of a Louisiana commercial contractor's license. HAM now holds both an architecture license and a contractor's license — a combination that gives us a grounded understanding of how buildings are designed and how they're actually built — and is certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE).

2026

We're now expanding that foundation into new territory, beginning graduate study in Applied Neuroscience at King's College London. We're building the scientific framework to understand what the built environment does to the people inside it — and what it would mean to design with that understanding at the center of every decision.
